Have you ever felt stuck in some area of your business or life? - By Allison Liddle

In the past year I’ve spoken to thousands of people from around the world and found that there was a common challenge that was keeping people stuck from getting the results they want to have in their life. Over and over again I would get the same question, “Allison, what if my life could be different?” Each of us have a desire to be more, do more or have more in our lives.

I was astounded because I was hearing this same question from successful CEOs, stay-at-home parents, college students, leaders, and people from all walks of life. The person would tell me a huge goal they’d like to accomplish and then they’d say they’ve been thinking about it for a long time and give me a list of excuses for why it couldn't possibly work.

I wondered, why are they not just taking action to get closer to their goal? I’d tell them to take action, even if it’s not perfect, you need to do something, just take imperfect action. They would inevitably look at me with a blank stare. What does that mean they would ask?  I thought that taking imperfect action was something that everybody knew about and then I realized that they didn’t, so I decided to write a book called, "The Art of Imperfect Action: All Success Comes From Daring to Begin"  to explain this simple, but profound concept that successful people implement in their lives to achieve massive results.

If you want to achieve success in any area of your life, you need to take massive imperfect action, which is the act of letting go of perfectionism to take bold, courageous action. Too many people want all of the answers or all of the circumstances to be perfect before taking action. Then they get stuck thinking about their goal, but never actually achieving it. If you want to grow your business, you need to start taking imperfect action to achieve that result. If you want to get your financial life in order you need to start taking imperfect action toward that end goal. If you want anything to change in your life you can’t wait for it to happen to you, you need to take imperfect action and make it happen.

Your imperfect action today could change the world tomorrow.

WEDWisconsin is just around the corner and one of my favorite parts of speaking at WED again this year is having the opportunity to reconnect with all of the brilliant people I met last year and meeting all of my new friends that are coming to WEDWisconsin for the first time. This conference brings together some of the most amazing people in Wisconsin and I'm thrilled to spend the day with you. I know you'll love this conference as much as I do - it's truly a transformative day.
